I’ve got one good thing to say about Republicans.
They are focused. Oh, man are they focused.
Their priorities are clear as a day before skies were darkened by pollution.
They want
tax breaks
deregulation
Guns
taking away women’s reproductive rights
White leadership
In pursuit of these lofty goals, they don’t care if health care is restricted, limited to those who can afford it.
They don’t care if the “great, stable genius, who should have been a doctor and has common sense” tells us to buy and use an ineffective and potentially lethal drug, hydroxychloroquine… or that he owns a big piece of the manufacturer… or that he tells us to inject disinfectants and calls to Poison Control go up, as do deaths from not wearing masks, not social distancing, not quarantining… “We’ll I’m not going to wear a mask… It’s optional.”
They don’t care that he makes climate catastrophe worse by encouraging the use of coal and oil.
They don’t care that food is less safe to eat because he has loosened regulation in food inspections.
They don’t care if social security, which keeps many from literally starving and being homeless, is weakened.
They don’t care if their leader incites violence and is an accessory to the murder of Khashoggi.
They don’t care if their “great and stable genius” lauds and emulates dictators.
They don’t care if he manipulates and abuses women, then brags about it.
They in fact, love this macho.Of course he only raped one woman - that we know about.
The moral majority loves his morals.
They don’t care that he lies continuously and that the very nature of truth and fact is under attack with his war of Big Lies, endless propaganda, conspiracy theories and leadership by chaos.
They don’t care that he praises a war criminal inviting him to one of his palatial homes for a party.
They don’t care that he shares national secrets with the Russians.
They don’t care if he demoralizes our intelligence community and military.
They don’t care if he lets our allies be killed so that Russia and their proxies in Turkey and Syria 🇸🇾 can get more power in the Middle East. And oh, by the way isis gets out of jail literally for free making good on his threat to unleash thousands of isis fighters on Europe. He demonizes our allies and praises our enemies.He wants to be king for life.He calls the foundation of our republic the “Phony Constitution.”His 💕 love of trade wars hurts farmers. Big time.
They don’t care that his bailout helped mostly rich farmers. As is usual for him, he helps those who least need help and turns a blind eye to those in dire need.
They don’t care that he gave fifty nuclear ☢️ warheads to Turkey, sort of like an after thought after Erdogan asked him to step down and let him kill the Kurds.
They don’t care that he invited the Taliban to the White House on 9/11.They don’t care that he puts kids in cages.Some might care a little bit but not enough to denounce it publicly.
They don’t care if he destroys the Justice Department, saying it is his “legal right” to interfere with court decisions that go against his cronies and henchmen.
They don’t care that he threatens the free press.They don’t care that he intimidates witnesses.
They don’t care that he uses taxpayer dollars to fund government officials’ stays at his hotels and urges foreign officials to pay to stay at his hotels and that he sold citizenship to people who invested half a million each in his properties.
They don’t care that he blackmails Ukraine to do his bidding weakening them in pursuit of helping Russia.
They don’t care that he invites Russia and China to help him cheat in our elections.
They don’t care 🤷♀️ that to take the heat off his pal Putin, he blames Ukraine for interfering in our elections.
They don’t care about the ever-worsening income disparity between the super rich and everyone else.
They don’t care that there is a shortage of affordable housing.
They don’t care that science 🧬 is being defunded and vilified just as we need it to help combat corona virus and many other health issues. And though they have screamed a chant of “Balance the Budget,” this doesn’t not apply when Republicans are in office and have to break the bank with gifts 🎁 to the super rich.
And of course the response to Putin actively aiding his 2020 re-election is met with“Oh, ho hum... blah, blah, blah... the facts are incorrect.” After which he fires 🔥 the head of intelligence replacing with a person of no experience. For no experience is- in truth - needed to just blindly follow the Chosen One.
They don’t care because it doesn’t matter.
They say it’s probably not true anyway.
And all politicians are lying hypocrites.
The Dems are worse.
They don’t care if they take away women’s right to choose while they insist the government does not have the right to tell them to wear masks because it violates they constitutional rights.
“Very fine people on both sides.” Confederate flags and bases named for those generals are OK, but can they even say ‘Black Lives Matter?’
Is there a word for hypocrisy which is stronger than hypocrisy?***
Put all this together and “I can’t breath.”
But they just don’t care, because to them the end justifies the means.
Democrats care.
But they are seeking a perfect candidate.
